Miranda has over twenty years of experience teaching art both in Steiner schools and privately and has designed art programs for both children and adults covering a wide variety of mediums, skills and approaches.
Miranda was herself educated within the Steiner system from Kindergarten to year 12 and went on to study Anthroposophical pedagogy and approaches to healing. She was a Steiner primary and kindergarten teacher for ten years during which time she also taught art in the high school years. She is passionate about the role that art plays to enrich and deepen the learning experience and her approach encourages connection through mindful observation and a felt response to the qualities of colour.
More recently Miranda has taken her anthroposophical knowledge of child development and the therapeutic processes used in Steiner education to design and deliver therapeutic art classes for neurodivergent children and is a qualified counsellor and art therapist working with children and adults.
Miranda lives with her husband and three children in the Blue Mountains, Australia. She draws on the natural beauty of this world heritage area for inspiration in her own art and in her design work. Miranda is currently launching a slow-fashion label featuring her botanical design prints.
